Fury began in the small Australian Outback city of Broken Hill with the meeting of
the two guitarists, Ricky Boon and Darren McLennan. The duo got together regularly to write
and rehearse songs, and after several months, the guitarists laid out their goals for the
next two years, and sought out other members to complete the band.
 In December 1995, Fury recorded their first EP at Nu-Town Studios in Sydney. Lord
Tim, vocalist and guitarist for the power metal band Dungeon, which had recently been
signed to TDK-Core records filled in for bass and vocals. Together, Fury co-produced the
EP with Lord Tim and renowned engineer / producer Mark Worrall.
The EP was greeted enthusiastically by friends and fans, gaining requests on local
radio stations.
The line-up was completed win April 1996 with vocalist Mick O'Neil and bassist
Aaron Dewsbery. Ben Harris, a local session musician performed live drums for the band.
Fury then played a series of successful shows, including record numbers at a "Band
 Frenzy" and attaining impressive results at the "Battle Of The Bands" which lead to
 widespread exposure on the Central Television Network.
From the positive feedback gained from the performances, the band decided to return
to Sydney to record their first CD in July 1997. Songwriting and rehearsals began again
with the band focusing on new material for the CD. In just one week, the band recorded,
 mixed and produced fifteen intense tracks, nine of which were chosen for the CD.
Samples from the CD were posted on Fury's internet website and as a result, the band
 was approached by a number of radio stations, magazines and webzines for features,
 reviews and radio airplay.
Currently the band is auditioning full-time drummers in Adelaide. Although this has
meant a scheduled promotional tour of Australia's east coast has been postponed, the band
has been anything but idle; over twenty five new songs have been written and a track
from the CD is set to appear on an upcoming compilation album.
This is a band with a very bright future indeed!
